Russell Minas is a Salt Lake City, Utah based sole-practitioner specializing in family law, mediation and Collaborative Family Law. Admitted to practice in 1989, Russell began his legal career as a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake, later serving a director of Legal Aid's Domestic Violence Victim Assistance program, and then as the agency's Executive Director. In addition to his family law practice, Russell also serves as a neutral third-party mediator, assisting others resolve their divorce and child-related issues without the need for court intervention.
Russell is a member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Utah State Bar, serving as Chair in 2006-07. Russell also is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Collaborative Family Lawyers of Utah, a member of the Utah Online Court Assistance Program Policy Board, is a past member of the Utah Domestic Violence Advisory Council, and has served on the Board of Trustees of SPLORE, a private not-for-profit organization which provides outdoor adventures for people with disabilities.
